Marit Mihklepp
After studying textile design and ArtScience she has found a way to melt together her lifelong passion about movement, writing and imagination. Deeply interested in the qualities of pauses and characteristics of silent languages, she is currently collecting im/possible models of communication, be it with microorganisms or everyday objects. Mapping alternative languages has taken the artist to European Space Agency and Waag Society.
Her graduation work “Conversations with objects” is an instructive score, an everyday choreography performed by ordinary objects and audience members, triggering an unexpected possibility of becoming aware of the hidden lives of cups, forks, matchboxes and toilet paper rolls.
Right now, she is continuing her research on hybrid forms of practice, imagination and the creative pause.
