Alexander Zaklynsky
Alexander Zaklynsky Graduated Rhode Island School of Design in 2000 with a BFA in Sculpture. Currently pursuing a Master degree at the ArtScience Interfaculty @ KABK in Den Haag. Zaklynsky worked in New York with various Artists after Graduating R.I.S.D. until he moved to Reykjavik Iceland via an arts residency in 2005. In 2007 Zaklynsky started the Lost Horse Gallery which became an active exhibition and project space in downtown Reykjavik. In 2012 Zaklynsky focused toward his own work and spent over two years traveling Europe via official and unofficial artist residencies until landing back in East Iceland to take part in a 1 year residency at H-E-I-M-A in Seydisfjordur. Zaklynsky’s final works will explore the notion of adding the dimension of time to a a static sculpture or painting while investigating the mechanization of the creative process.
